They have traditions in songs, stories, fine basketry, and wood carving. Learn about the Passamaquoddy, Penobscot, Micmac and Maliseet tribes – all of which still live in Maine today. There are many culture exhibits that change on a weekly basis. At the Seal Cove Auto Museum you will find a wide variety of antique autos, from an 1899 DeDion Bouton to a 1924 Mercer, with a special emphasis on examples from the “Brass Era” (1895-1917). Many of these automobiles and motorcycles have been restored to world-class condition, while others remain in their original, un-restored condition. The George B. Dorr Museum of Natural History investigates, interprets and displays the natural world of Maine. All exhibits are designed and produced by students at College of the Atlantic, and include a touch tank. The Museum is housed in the original headquarters of Acadia National Park, renovated and expanded to provide a unique site for exhibits, programs, and activities.
